Hawai'i Land Trust is honored to be one of the nonprofits selected to benefit from the I Mau Ke Aloha, a farm-to-table dinner event at the Mākena Golf & Beach Club’s Nāulu Farm.
Our partner honoree in this benefit is the Lahaina Community Land Trust. All proceeds from the event will benefit the honorees. “This event celebrates two organizations dedicated to ho‘omau—maintaining a perpetual relationship of aloha between Hawai‘i’s people and our environment,” said Leahi Hall, Director of Community Engagement for Mākena Golf & Beach Club. “Hawai‘i Land Trust protects spaces for ecological restoration and cultural connection, fostering healthy keiki and families. Lahaina Community Land Trust ensures local families remain rooted in place, preserving handprints in driveways and memories on walls.”
Guests will enjoy a delicious farm-to-table meal, live entertainment by Marja Lehua Apisaloma and Wailau Ryder, and breathtaking views of Pu‘u Ōla‘i and Kaho‘olawe. Seating is limited and is based on a first-to-register basis.
Mākena Golf & Beach Club's Nāulu Farm overlooks the club’s organically-minded farm named for, inspired by, and designed to reflect the Nāulu wind and cloud bridge of the area. Created by Mākena Golf & Beach Club’s ‘Ōiwi Resources and Stewardship Director CJ Elizares, Nāulu Farm is part of Mākenaʻs larger effort to support the connection of the Nāulu cloud bridge from Ulupalakua to Kahoʻolawe.
