Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer is a key leadership position responsible for all aspects of Hawaiʻi Land Trust's financial operations. This role ensures sound financial management, compliance with accounting standards, and supports strategic decision-making. The CFO will oversee accounting, budgeting, audit, financial reporting, investments, and financial strategy and policy development. As a member of the executive leadership team, the CFO works closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other senior staff to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.

Cultural Manager at Mākena
Hawaiʻi Land Trust (HILT) is seeking a passionate and experienced Cultural Manager to oversee community programs and stewardship efforts at a 47.15-acre site in Mākena, Maui. Proposed development within the site includes single-family and multi-family housing, a cultural center, and related infrastructure.
This position will play a vital role in advancing Native Hawaiian cultural practices, specifically Honuaˈula -based cultural practices, supporting descendant engagement, and integrating cultural knowledge into land preservation efforts. This is a unique opportunity to promote the continuum of Honuaˈula place-based practices by supporting ʻike kupuna (generational knowledge) of the area, protecting and preserving a Honuaˈula cultural landscape, and amplifying community connections to ʻāina.

Kauai Steward & Educator
The Kauai Steward & Educator’s primary responsibilities will include restoring and preserving natural and cultural resources and engaging the community in education and service along Kauaʻi’s north shore. The position may also be tasked with related work for other HILT projects and programs, as needed.
Full-time applicants will be prioritized but highly qualified, part-time applicants may also be considered.

Maui Educator
Hawaiʻi Land Trust (HILT) is seeking an Educator to join its Maui-based team. The position’s primary responsibility will be teaching School and Community Groups to help fulfill HILT’s strategic goals and objectives for Waiheʻe Coastal Dunes & Wetlands Refuge and Nuʻu Refuge. This includes preserving and enhancing the natural, cultural, and community value of the sites and providing opportunities for the community to connect and develop kuleana for Waiheʻe and Nuʻu through education, service, and recreation. The position will also be tasked with helping at other HILT sites and on other projects, as needed. This position reports to HILT’s Director of ‘Āina Education.
