Support HILT’s Year End Campaign

This past year, your generosity and support has allowed us to continue our work to cultivate a future where biocultural ecosystems thrive, food systems are strong, communities are vibrant, and everyone in Hawai‘i has what they need to lead fulfilling lives.

Your passion for our home made this happen.
Mahalo!

With a gift today, you will support our ambitious goals for next year as we continue to steward connections between people and ‘āina across the pae ‘āina. This includes:

Installation of a kauhale at Kūkūau Community Forest in Hilo, which will provide educational space for students and families and allow us to begin ‘āina education and volunteer programming at this site.

Expansion of our education programs at Kāhili Beach Preserve, which engage students in learning about the important role that native plants play in our coastal ecosystem through hands-on cultivation of seedlings, outplanting, and the removal of invasive species.

Restoration of an historic beach cottage at Waihe‘e Coastal Dunes & Wetlands Refuge to enhance our ‘āina-based education program as a Cultural Education Center

Developing a series of ‘ike kūpuna workshops at Maunawila Heiau Complex, providing additional opportunities for individuals to connect with ‘āina while perpetuating Native Hawaiian cultural practices and values.

We appreciate the generosity of the HILT ʻohana, without whom, none of what we’ve accomplished in the past years would have been possible. If you would like to support HILT’s efforts statewide, please do so here. You can also learn about becoming a monthly donor, making a gift of stock, or a gift in honor or memory of a loved one.

Mahalo for your kind gift, it makes a difference.
