E Mālama ‘Āina Kākou: Party for the Land

malama1The Board of Directors of Hawaiian Islands Land Trust and Mary Philpotts McGrath, Honorary Event Chair, invite you to join us on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 6:00 – 10:00 pm forE Mālama ‘Āina Kākou: Party for the Land.

E Mālama ‘Āina Kākou: Party for the Land is our inaugural fundraiser on O'ahu, where we will celebrate our accomplishments, including expanding our conservation efforts on O'ahu and throughout the state, as well as raise much needed funds for our time-sensitive mission to protect the lands that sustain us for current and future generations.

To purchase a table or tickets, contact Carol Gentz, HILT Development Direct at (808) 244-5263 or carol@hilt.org. Or simply click here to purchase tickets online.

The evening is not to be missed! There is no better place to celebrate the work of the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust than the beautiful shores of Lanikuhonua, set against the backdrop of the Palehua slopes and the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust’s conservation easement on Olson Trust property, which preserves the rich cultural history it holds.

Our inaugural fundraiser is generously hosted by Mary Philpotts McGrath and McD Philpotts, and supported by Peter Merriman with a five-course dinner donated by Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman. Kapena, one of Hawaii’s premier islands bands, will guarantee it is a party for the land.

Table sponsorships include a Lau Table for $10,000, Mu‘o Table for $5,000 and Kupu Table for $2,500. Individual tickets are available for $200 per ticket. The Hawaiian names given to our table sponsorships reflect the growth of a plant from kupu, to sprout; to mu‘o, to bud and then to lau, to leaf. This reflects our growth as an organization as well as how your vital support ensures not only the strengthening of Hawaiian Islands Land Trust but the protection of the natural beauty and significant cultural, history and agricultural lands throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Lau and Mu‘o tables include an exclusive cocktail party on Friday evening, May 9th at the historic home of Mary Philpotts McGrath in Nu‘uanu. For additional information on table sponsorship benefits, please see the attached form. Also attached is the Table Registration Form.
