Join us for our weekly environmental volunteer days and nurture your nature! Get your hands dirty at the Waihe‘e Coastal Dunes & Wetlands Refuge.  Every Friday morning form 8am-noon, willing hands gather to help benefit endangered species, maintain the unique nature of our Hawai‘i, and grow every resident and visitor’s appreciation of open spaces.  Activities involve managing invasive species and propagating Hawai‘i’s plants.  Forge relationships between residents, visitors, and the ‘āina!  Contact volunteer@hilt.org TODAY or call our office for more information.

Talk Story on the Land-Maunawila Heiau Tour & Service Activity, Oʻahu Island
Jul 15 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Experience one of the last intact heiau in the moku of Koʻolauloa. Learn about the unique history of Hauʻula, the moʻolelo related to this cultural site, and how Maunawila Heiau has become a model for community stewardship. Join us after the tour for a service activity to give back to the land. Led by Oʻahu Island Director, Tina Aiu.

Talk Story on the Land-Lundburg Conservation Easement, Hawaiʻi Island

Visit the ʻŌhiʻa forest and see the amazing work that Kaye Lundburg & her family have done by clearing the invasive species from the land & planting native plants such as ʻŌhiʻa and Koa. Led by Landowner Kaye Lundburg.
